If they are large adults they don't only draw blood, they can draw a LOT of blood, leave a scar, the wounds can get infected (like any wound really) and they are for some reason a lot more painful than most gecko bites (sharper teeth and a very strong jaw perhaps?)

It can also be quite hard to get them to let go!

If you're getting young ones then the bite won't be that bad and you should have more success taming them down than starting with adults... if you can get CB babies they are meant to be a lot better to work with than WC.

My advice - wear thick gloves

tokays aren't that bad.
If you've had experience with aggressive geckos and can sucesfully 'pin' a gecko it'll never bite you. mine never does because i dont give it the chance, but i dont want to hold mine either...

thick pair of gloves without a doubt...if they can grab skin they will and it hurts...also seem to have a tendancy to roll when they get you too..that is sore
