Default baby bd having fits? Long long post.

To cut along story short, I have two baby bds I am looking after, I cant get hold of the owner till sat, (sorry will have to give a bit of the story or I will just confuse every one)

I went to hamm show, and took a couple of people with me, on the understanding that they were only going for a look.
Said I would meet them in an hour or so, so we could look at what we liked.
Met up with them later and to my shock horrer he had not one but two bds in a boxs!!!!
I stopped my self from going mad and told him he would have to buy the set up, this is when he told me that he didnt have much money!!!!!!!
So he bought a viv a light a bowl, heat rock.
These babys were ment to be getting looked after by the girl next door.

Got back to my house had to set up his tank, then, I was asked if they could be left at my house for the night.
So ok, I put in extra light, got temps okay, I have feed them well, however the girl has now told me they cant go to her house and I am stuck with them till NOV (still I said okay as what eles can I do)
The girl keeps coming round and picking them up all the time even though I have told her not to, but as they are her sort of boyfriends I feel like I cant put my foot down.

She picked one up today and it had a sort of fit, it opened its mouth and was on its side stiff as a board, I took it from her and told her it was stressed from being picked up all the time! Then it went all limp.
She then left, however it has done it twice since I put it in a warm bath and sat with it, It has slept for a while been eating fine, good poo, had water, viv temps are 35 one end 27 the other end.

Feeding crickets, salad, dusting crickets with drago-vit-calcium +vit d3.
Cant get hold of the owner till sat. And couldnt afford the vet bill myself as I have just got another bd and a day gecko ( which are doing really well and both by there self) but thinking if I see it happen once more will take it anyway and sort it out later. Sorry for the rant!!
what should I do?
(sorry for spelling,)

Sorry but I would have to say you have to take to a vet asap... I know it is not your responsibilty really but... for the sake of this little beardie you must.. for now just keep it as comfortable as possible... I have to say though how irresponsible of the person who brought them.. Make sure you keep all expenses you have had to pay out and make them pay.

well your temps seem fine....so i dont know, hope it is ok but why it would be fitting if looked after right i dont know.

Cant comment on the supplement...as drago +vit +calcium+d3 as its one of those darn german things i litterally wont touch for anything lol.

but assuming its levels of calcium in it ar eok it wouldnt be that.

is the baby beardies maybe a little young to have been sold?

EDIT- decided to risk translating the page and it seems its just calcium plus d3, not a multivit..the anme confuserd me sory, seems like good stuff.

I hope the beardie is OK. Make sure you get the owner to pay the vet bills! How irresponsible of them! Atleast you are there to look after them though!

How young are the beardies?
Ive seen hatchlings fit in the same way before very young.
Which is why owners are supposed to keep them for at least 6 weeks before selling, i hate to be the bearer but they did not survive.
They were eating too.
Ive also seen it in leo's that were impacted, fitting, rolling onto their sides and opening their mouthes, and then dying after a few fits later, but lasting a few days or so. (not the fits, the leos)
I hate it but i do like to rescue these animals, sometimes theres just nothing you can do, even vet checked.
I hope it's nothing serious and he gets better though! Theres all kinds of things that can cause fits, i had a young green anole fit once, but then he was fine.
good luck.

also keep them well away from any other reptiles you have in your home.wash your hands after handling the "fitting beardies" just in case its anything contagious.

ok had the bd at vets (didn`t speak great english) and all seems to be ok, no reson could be seen for him to have fits, said he looked well and healthly. Said just to take him back if he dose it again, the vet only had a prod and a poke, looked in hes mouth and that was about it.

He dose look fine this morning. I dont know what happened, the only reson I can think of is stress, being picked up to much? I dont know.
I am just keeping an eye on him. Still cant get hold of the person they belong to.
So all seems well.
