Default Gecko body language

Just introduced two geckos to each other.

Male had tail in the air and flicking it side to side, then followed the female and licking its backside.

What does it mean?

Also any other ideas on body language?

rofl

I wish, the female is a bit younger than the male by about a month, also in dire need of calcium and fattening up (not in the best condition), stores fault not mine before anyone tears my head off

Awww, it's terrible when you get one like that. Mine is about 3x bigger than he was when I got him, starting to look nice and healthy.

Sorry I can't be of more use, my guy is solitary. The only time I saw him "rattle" his tail was just before he pounced on a locust, so I think it's predatory behaviour. But then if he's licking her it seems he's interested... I'll stop rambling because I can't actually help you, but good luck with them.

Basically, if you transcribed the "conversation" it would be:

Male: "Who are you? Are you going to eat me?"
Male: "No, not going to eat me. Can I eat you or have sex with you?"

If the female is in poor condition, SEPARATE THEM.

He WILL mate her... and that's not good for her.

Gnaaaahhhh, kk will separate the cage tonight until my secondary cage arrives.

[edit] There actually fighting the block to get to each other, and trying to get to meet each other more now i put the night cover on.

"Awww, it's terrible when you get one like that. Mine is about 3x bigger than he was when I got him, starting to look nice and healthy."

Generally i've found all Leos in stores are in poor condition, i've only found two stores out of the five in the area which have them in good conditions. My first was impacted and refused to eat for 4 days until it filtered, and this one has a poor tail, partially impacted and slightly bendy legs (calcium difficiency).

It bothers me when there like this but after a few days of TLC they normally perk right up.
