Default Repashy Super Foods mix

i have bee feeding my cresties on the repashy two part diet from day one...... this is all fine but i want to start to breen my cresties so i have started thinking about increasing the calcium...

so calcium in hand im not sure of the amount to add in ... it says on the packet 3% in weight this i understand but as i use the two part diet

is it 3% of the 4oz base in weight OR 3% of the nectar in weight they will be the same result.

or as i would guess 3% of the weight of the base and nectar added together meaning 3% of 8oz...

this just got complicated lol .....any help cheers guys

How much do your cresties weigh?

And yeh, it's a good idea to increase calcium intake, so maybe feed them some dusted crix. I'm not sure whether you can mix it in with the actual diet...

my cresties weigh between 37 and 43 grams .....perfect! if anything a little bit of a porker the male ..but he still has his tail.

Ah fair enough, just needed to make sure you weren't someone like

"I lyk cresties, can I breed them? There 2 weks old"..

I doubt there's any set amount, I would say probably about 1/8 of the quantity of the food your giving her , just a pinch. I believe over-calcification can actually cause problems! I wouldn't imagine too much would be needed, as the Repashy CGD does contain calcium already.

iv read about some of the effect of the over-calcification..... not good!

thats why i thought i best ask lol i know the Repashy CGD does contain calcium and thats why the 3% extra sounds about right but just to make sure would be ace if somebody knows the exact amount or if somebady is using this method at the moment to shear some advice...

cheers

its does say you can add calcium on the base power packet, its probly a good idea if you feed live food.
maybe you`d be better asking on the repashy forum?
