Cool, Monkey tails fasinate me i was going to buy 25+ from appleton exotics for £7000-£8000, but they sold them straight away, they sold them the first day of advertising I was very dissapointed, how much did you pay for yours, if you don't mind me asking ?
Also how far along is the gravid female, i know they can take 7-8 months to have the baby, they have one, rarely two, will you be selling the baby, as i may be interested
Post some pics, i am sure everyone would love to see them

we paid £ 800 for the pair who are a proven breeders, a big viv, heating, lighthing, and they threw in £100 worth of decor for free, they also gave us a discount on the viv of £150. they are just so gorgeous as soon as the bloke in the shop sed they had had a lot of interest from other people i ran to the nearest atm to get the deposit!!! picking up the viv on sat to get it set up ready for them to come here on the saturday after. they said they are not sure how far gone she is but they are pretty sure she is gravid, she had twins last time. going to put some platforms up in the viv so they can have some hides high up, what wood would you reccomend?

Default monkey tailed skinks

hi we actually use tree branches to give the viv a really natural look. we give them a really good scrub and clean, then attach them really firmly across the viv they need to be able to climb, also we have some huge really heavy stripped halve tree trunks at the back one one either side for them to relax on and of course plenty of plant which they distroy very quickly as they have really sharpe claws. we use very chuncky dark bark on the floor covered in moss as they need a very humid place to live. They are given a good spray twice a day which they love and in the big viv they have a automatic sprayer as well.
hope this helps.... we have ours for quite a while and they seem really happy hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours

we have branches and fake plants, i just want to put some hides up high as well cos i seen a design in the general care and maintenence book, and thought it would be a good idea, as i know they prefer to sleep high up.

ours tend to just hang over the branches to sleep during the day they dont seem to like to hide away at all but you could see if they like it .

Cheers for the pm with the piccies. They look very different to me, almost alien or plastic. I cant really see why they are called prehensile tailed but I am relating that to how my chameleon uses its tail.
