Default Bearded Dragon - prolapse? Hemipene? Poo?

Hi there, not posted here in a while, but I have encountered a problem with my 5 and a half month old Bearded Dragon Oscar.

Today when getting him out of his vivarium, I saw he had something hanging from his cloaca. It was beige, and was in the shape of a Y (So two points sticking out from the top) and it's on the left side.

I thought it was a bit of hard sandy poo stuck to his actual skin next to the cloaca. I got a baby wipe, wipe it a bit, and gently pulled it. It didn't come off, this is when i realised it was coming out of his cloaca, somy immediate thought was poo. I left it, as I didn't want to pull it again (he didn;t show any signbs of pain though)

I bent his tail black slightly and on the right side of his cloaca I can see some brown matter.

I know this sounds like poo, but when I look at it, it doesn't. I have researched hemipenes and prolapses and it doesn't match up with the pictures or descriptions.

I am currently bathing him in warm water now.

What is this?

A photo would help...

If it is his penises that are prolapsed and they are staying out you need to see a vet.

He may be a bit young for it but it could possibly be a sperm plug?

After doing more and more research, I think I have discovered it may well be a sperm plug, it has just got a bit lodged. I have bathed him, and I shall leave him.

I can gently pull it if I wish, but I'd rather it take it's course.

I didn't think it;d be a prolapse or a hemipene, in the fact that there was no redness at all.

I have been looking after two female beardies recently, andf he can see thier viv, he has been very black, and showed maturity.

At almost 6 months old, I think it could very well be a sperm plug.

Okay, yep it does sound like it. It will come out if pulled gently but as you say you would rather it came out naturally then that's fine.
