Default frilled lizard

Hi all, you are all very knowledgeable, so I hope someone will come up with an answer to this query!
We are wanting to get a frilled dragon, and wonder if there are different types of morphs, as there is with beardies?
Thanks, Dobby.

not yet there isnt as far as im aware, although some breeders have started producing some very high orange/red frills etc but to my knowledge no actual morphs or names for them etc.

you just have the 2 species,[or are they just region morphs?] aussie and indonesian at the minute.

Welcome to the forum

there are morphs in frillies now yes. theres not many and they are not really known yet.

the main differences are:

The colour of the frill (Greys, Blacks, reds, oranges and some yellows)
The colour of the body (Greys and black)

they are the main varaities, but there has been some whites and oranges spotted in some frillies tails.

as said before, they have not been announced as such just yet but there is definatly some new morphes.

Hopes this helps.

they are well cool pets. easy to tame as well in my opinion

Thumbs up My Australian Frilled Lizard.

I know your original post is from back in December 07 but just thought I would mention I have one and the inside of its frill is bright yellow with a few tinges of green and orange. He is very tame and easy to look after dispite some books and caresheets suggesting they can be moody and difficult to care for. However I may of just been lucky. He even has the free run of my lounge when I'm home and he has never messed anywhere, and will only messes in his viv. I have him out on the grass field near me on hot sunny days (obviously supervised) and he is so funny when he tucks his front legs in and runs on his back legs, but he never goes far from me.

If you now have one I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. I'm a new member to here, but will soon have pictures on.

Will
