Default Thermometer for Lizard

Hi All,

I have found some digital thermometers on ebay with no prob. Are they any good without a prob or do they need one to give an acurate reading.

I dont think the probe make them any more accurate but without a probe it is a lot harder to measure the temperature at some locations as it may be hard to put the thermometer in those places.

Personally I would go for one with a probe...just to hard without one..

laser thermometers are becoming very cheap, it depends on how many u need, one laser does all. it may be cost effective.

I get the aquarium digital thermometers off ebay. They're about £3.00 each, work fine for me.

This is what i was thinking of buying to stick on either side of the viv. Is the prob really that necessary.

Clearly if you just want to measure the temperature of either side of the viv then the probe is completely unnessary and these perfectly meets your needs.

The point I was trying to make was if you want to measure the temperature on a branch, a particular basking spot etc then the probe proves quite useful.
But if you are not interested in that then the probe is unnessary.

By the way, very good price for those thermometers you found... I might buy some myself seeing those prices
