Default Beardie substrate idea! Your thoughts please?

Hey guys, recently it seems like my beardies nails are getting pretty sharp. He is about 5 months old and i use kitchen roll as a substrate but the other day i saw this stuff...
KAGESAN SHEETS

Its basically a big sheet of sand paper, and i was woundering if this could work as a substrate. The only thing that worrys me is that the sand on the sheets isnt the finest stuff i have ever seen and if some of the bits come loose witch im sure they will over time could he accidently eat a few!?. Now my guess is that useing this stuff isnt as bad as just using plain old sand but im not really sure.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly apreciated.

Default substrate

you can use play pit sand as the sand is really fine there r some people on here that would disagree with this and say cause of blocked guts and advise to keep them on paper but my point is that when bd's r born in the wild there is not a place in the desert that is covered in tissue paper

as far as sharp claws if u took the animals to a rep shop they would simply trim the claws with toe nail klippers but i dont do this my self as i feel that one day i would take off one of their toes

also i reacently sold 3 bd's to somone who was just getting into the hobby and they phoned me say that i had sold them the bd's illeagally bcause they had read on here somwhere that bd's were venemous so would b listed on a dwa licence

i dont know if anyone else knows of venemous bd's please let me know if u do

Some people..... . Seriously they have probably read the post that was on recently that says there is a slight amount of venom in their saliva which is harmless to humans though obviously hygiene is important like washing hands etc which I would think most people would do after handling any type of rep or other pet for that matter
