Hello every body.
I had been a member of this forum for some time now I don’t post much but read religiously …
Here is a survival story for you all.
13 weeks ago I woke up in the morning and was rushing to go to work (slept in a bit) did not have enough time to chop the veggies for my 1and a bit year old kids (Bagira&li lie beardies) .So I just put some EXO TERRA pellets in there bowl ,since I was rushing to work I accidentally spilled more than I should of , did not clean it up.
Jumped on my bike and next thing I remember I woke up 11 weeks later in a hospital. With a broken leg, ribs, 7 fingers ,color bone , small back damage and punctured lung …..
My parents are retired and traveling the world, the rest of my family lives in Russia,
England and us(im in Australia).my mates are also abroad
So back to survival ..for more then 2 months NO1 fed my kids clean there viv or change there water…the only thing they had for 11 and a bit weeks was EXO TERRA pellets that I left then before I left for work………………….
When I got home from the hospital I was ready for a funeral ,looked at my viv and see my kids sitting there like nothing happened. They looked a bit skinny ,the skin looked very loose otherwise healthy , i took them out of the viv and you could almost see a smile on there face ,they new they are going to eat now …its been almost 2 weeks since I been home now and they been eating strong 4 box of ( L )crickets a day and s*&$ load of veggies , I think pore buggers think they will have to fast gain…..

what a relief for you - and them!! bit like getting a ham sandwich day in day out!!!

will have to take a closer look at those pellets - may be useful to keep some in 'just in case'....

wow, that was a great story, and to think I get worried when I leave my babies for a day!

WOW well thats a good thing to know. Think I might get some of them as a back up case we run out of bugs - At least I know they wont starve then! Glad they are ok and survived and are eating well and happy you are home.

Hope you are recovering well yourself? What happened?

im glad you are ok mate, do you not remember anything about the accident?

so nobody knew to look after your beardies?
what about your bills and rent and stuff?

Did soemone take care of that for you?
sorry dont know how things work in oz but here if we were away with nobody looking after things for a couple months we would be in serious financial trouble lol

abotu the beardies...that is remarkable, poor little things, very lucky the pellet were there...

are your lights etc on timers then?

im glad they are now doing fien and eating good, bet they missed you, must have thought they had been abandoned poor things.

Maybe you should carry a card in your wallet saying where you live and that you have reptilian dependants just incase..

im ok i had worse...luky my python is at a breeder for breeding program and i dont have any more turtels ...my viv and my aquarium are on very good timers, and aquarium has a very very good filter so luky no power surge ...my dog is with my brother trecking out back australia ( simpson desert on academic stadies)....
im very luky....i only use EXO TERRA pellats once in a blue moon the times i have to travel for work over night witch happens only few times a year and when im in a very big rush insted of the veggies...it say on the bag if feeding pellets daily then you only need to feed your reps live food once a week as a treat (we all know that is a load of s@#$ but that is what they say)now that im home all of the time they will get more attentiont then they want hehehehe lol

all i rember blue car run a red light... cops found my shoe 200m away..
i own my appartment so all my bills come every 3 month and even if you dont pay they give you 3months to pay till they turn it off. few bills got screwd like my credid card ( pay back in 55 days %free). if i was renting i think it would be a very different story ...i had a bit of money saved and most of my bills are dirrect debit or cred card , it was not to far from running out belive me...i spend many years traveling so its not out of ordenery for me to go missing for few month or even a year or so im a bit on the moment kind of guy ....my pore folks they spent few sleepless nights, they still dont know,i dont wont to tell them so i dont f/up they life time trip ,my mum probebly die ...lol...
the only femily member that did not servive was red duc900 with racing kit may you rest in bike haven...
to be honest now is the hard time no work no money coming in and bills dont stop coning ..insurents should cover every thing but till they get they S@#$ in order you all know ...but im alive so cant complain
