Hi there, does anybody have feedback on using an energy saving light bulb in a viv.. i'd like to know if they produce reptile friendly UV light or not? The bulb in mind is a 100W 1100 lumen "4 loop" type bulb.
The reason i am asking this is i currently have a BTS without a UV setup. Im using a basking lamp along with a heat mat and supplementing vitimin powder into his diet, but want to know if using the above bulb would help- if it did produce the UV light. Many thanks! |

you should be using a proper form of uv... such as a uv tube...
wherever you got your bts, viv and heatmat from would no doubt sell them...
