at 1:1 your be almost touching the subject with a 50mm.u need more working distance

50mm is o short..go with sigma 105mm and set of kenko tubes

that's £300 worth of lense! if only! i was thinking of sigma ex macro 50mm f/2.8 (as i've got a nikon) i'm also thinking about some new studio lights, but your suggesgion of 'you need sigma 105mm macro lens and a nikon twin macro flash.then you need a set of kenko tubes' i'd agree. i've had nikon for too long to swap now as all my stuff would have to change with it. it's the age old nokon v's cannon debate.

hey, i was looking at your pictures, they are mor than stunning!!! if you don't mind me asking are you a nikon or cannon man? and what setup do you use for such chrispy macros? i only have a nikon d40x we have the studio lights, but i'm trying to work out what lense to get to do macr with.
