think i may go up marlee again soonish been away from it to long lol seen the biggest shoal of roach ive ever seen in my life there at least 200 yard wide dense with fish goin mad on the surface mad tbh it was like pike were herding them almost like a sardine ball . never fished for them but i knew it held biguns a usualy fish the farm end next to the island but have walked roun it with lures and the river mouth is quite productive. a stay near lanark loch so kinda heard of 20lb+ carp (26lb not to be discredited though) mosta me life area for area a 20lb pike be a harder catch . dog buscuit n controller they cant resist lol. werent allowed on ven the day wind to strong i wouldve went out drogue wouldve been fine but fishery rules .

cheers for the info . was in paas for the first 4 year or so it started dont bother with it now, try to fish localish to me now mainly venechar it only 50 miles from me a know perthshire only another 20 but a worked perth n northwards for a few year n that m/way jst pisses me off now lol a fish for coarse fish most of summer reckon my big fish huntin days are past to much cash to much time prefer to catch greater numbers now even if they smaller but a 24,8 on baits n a 27 on lures am quite happy n always a (good .)chance of betterin em at ven . now a pure rudd over 2lb12oz tat me aim as ive lost me piccy . next time yer visitin home have a few hours at ven it a v productive water boat and bank . boat on sun . cannae wait .

marlee one of my fav waters like though biggest ive caught is only about 15lb i have seen a piccy of a 47" 24lber but it was caught at least 10 years ago now.

scotland am from and unless yer fishin metieth or poachin gartmore 30's are still relatively rare tay gona take a lotta time/research unless yer really lucky, lomond a vast water n best chance spawning time at chromhin if ye can get a swim, awe not many 30's comin from kilchurn or ford and again other than spawnin time they vastly spread out best chance of a 30 whilst still getting some good sport and a crackin chance of numerous 20's anytime of year is venechar. for central anglers anyway inverness etc well as a said it all takes time lol .

ma biggest 27 but still happy as a pig in muck catchin jacks got a long time a heady me to better it . still a 30 a v scarce fish up here so big congrats .
