Default bathing your snake

do snakes need to be bathed?

i know it helps if they need help to, you know, do toilet things, and can help with a dodgy shed. but other than that do you really need to bath them?

that is all

i've had my corn since feb & she'll be about a year old now. she's never had problems in the toilet department & has always given me a full shed. so i've never bathed her. do you think it'd be good if i did then? for the exercise?

I wouldnt say it was necessary, one of my royals doesnt like it so he doesnt have a swim. Try them out if they like it then there is no harm

The royal I use to have loved them and would spend ages wallowing gently around in the bath but the corn I use to have use to go hypo and really hard to manage when he was little gave him a bath in the sink he went hypo and nearly escaped down the overflow! so stuff overflows just in case!

Our milk snake used to love to be bathed, she hates it now but spends a lot of time in her water bowl.
We think it was because a while ago her mat stat broke, and she burnt herself very badly.
We had to bath her then to keep the wound clean, and she hated it.
A king we had loved to be bathed... Until he trapped his head in the overflow and ripped a load of scales off.....

I guess it all depends on the individual animal.
