Default Lino and Heatmat

I've finally got a vivarium for a leopard gecko and I'm hoping to use lino as a substrate. I've seen some I like in Allied Carpets and I'm hoping to get some offcuts from them. It's around half a cm thick and flexible, but I was wondering if this will give off any toxins or anything when it's heated? I know a lot of people use lino as a substrate, but can ANY lino be used?

The vivarium I've bought is a 24x15x15. Can anyone advise me on the best size heat mat to buy for a vivarium that size?

Any help would be great!!

pretty sure any lino can be used and i would use an 11x11 heatmat in the viv but please use a stat with the mat as they get very warm

Our Leos and Beardies are both on lino, we got a rough textured one that looks like flagstones, to enable their claws to get a hold.

Measure your width and ask them to cut it from a roll, cost us £10 for enough for 4 vivs.

Thanks guys. I'm looking at getting the Habistat Mat Stat and will look around for a heat mat 11x11 then.

I found some rough textured lino that looks kinda like sand/clay so will definitely get some of that now.

Thanks!
