Mat Stat & Thermometer

Hi All,

Got my first snake on Saturday 08 BRB

She has gone into blue, but still fed like a pig yesterday - She's ace!!

Anyway.

Mu question is should the Mat Stat probe go inside the RUB or under the RUB - I have seen different threads saying both??

Currently I have drilled a hole in the side and the probe is sitting on top of the bark

Also where is the best place for the thermometer probes - should I place the probes at either end of the RUB on the floor

I too have just got my first snake.

Through my research I've found that it's best to have your matstat probe just about your substrate. This way it's the heat the snake will be receiving instead of just the heat coming out the mat.

Again with the thermometers it's it's best to have them at either end just above the substrate, this way you can see if you have an adequate heat gradient
