Default Vivarium setup prices ?

Hello everyone, im new to this place so big HELLO
Right down to business, i am getting a beardie for my birthday in November, iv read up on them a bit and really want one now. What it is , im just trying to find a good full complete viv setup, my local dealer does a full one
What do you think of the price , is it over the top .

3 foot tank
U.V. Light
Starter Unit
Spot Lamp Holder
Basking Bulb
Substrate
Thermometer
Water Bowl
Decorative Log
Heat Mat
£ 180.00

Is that reasonable or overpriced ?, also what other extras would i need
Any info or advice would be gratefully appreciated
Cheers

well for starters if its an adult 3 ft viv is gonna be too small adults need a 4 ft viv minimum. also u might want to look into bearded dragon substrates as there's a bit of an on going issue with sand

otherwise doesnt look massively over priced but u could probably get a better deal else where

you will also need a thermostat...which will cost between £20-45 roughly...

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but.....

How do the thermostats work in a vivarium? I'm guessing that they control the heat lamp (and so the basking area) and sit outside, do they have a sensor which you put in the viv?

or does it sit inside the viv and take the heat from there?

Thanks

you plug your heating(ceramic, heatmat etc) into the thermostat(which stays outside the viv),then the sensor/probe goes inside the viv
