It sounds like it has only been 5 days since his last feed. Nothing to worry about at all. Your snake is still settling in and adjusting to his new surroundings, and many snakes will refuse food at this stage.

Leave him completely alone for a week or two (except water changes) and then try with a warm pinkie. If there's any problems at that point then please come back, but it sounds completely normal and nothing to be concerned about at this stage.

How old is your snake?

Hey there

How old is your corn (if you know)?

As already said, it sounds like your new snake is still settling in. Definately not the time to panic yet. When I first got my corn she wouldn't strike at Pinkys (I got a huge shock when I moved up to Fuzzies and she struck with some energy).

Give it a few more days, and then at the weekend try a warmed up pink. Try and danngle it around in the viv/tub for a little while, just to get the scent moving. Don't chase the snake with it, and if the snake comes out and shows an intrest, just leave it in there and hopefully when you're not looking they'll sneak up and eat it.

Stheno used to be shy when it came to eating, but after getting all settled in she'd munch down her food not caring how many people were sticking their faces in to watch

Don't panic yet and congrats on your purchase

If you've got any questions at all feel free to drop me a pm

x

dont worry too much, snakes wont starve if they dont eat for a few days.
like said leave it for another few days and try again, warm the pinkie up, and when you do try again maybe pop it in and leave the room for an hour...one of mine literally downs it in front of me, but the other wont eat until ive left!

I couldn't agree more with this!
If you find yourself worrying too much and checking in on it all the time, cover the tub(I use cricket tubs) with a tea towel and leave it be.
I find that babies rarely strike feed with a pink - there's not much to strike - but as the move up some of them do. All but one of my corns is a strike feeder.
My baby snow stripe never struck until I offered her a fuzzy and it got nabbed right outta my hand.
Try not to worry. Don't handle the snake. Leave it 5-7 days and try again.
I really advise moving to a small tub when feeding. I've found it always works.
