Default pictus gecko help

hello all i recently rescued two pictus geckos one was ill when i got them and died not long after. I still have a male that up untill the last couple of days was doing fine its shed his skin and is now lathargic? and looks weak and instaed of hiding its out in the middle of the tank. Does any one know whats up and what i can do to get him better again.

- sorry if im no help but u shud definately take him to the vet before its too late :/



just check the temps, humidity are all correct. maybe try giving him a fewmore hides etc. it might be that hes just a little stressed from the new home and he may well just be settling in. However i'd advise u take him to a vet, do a fecal examination etc because if the other gecko he was with died recently, then this sounds like they may both had some sort of disease.

sorry no pics yet. he was eating fine i even had to hold back abit cos he put on to much weight he looked like a round ball with legs i put in a varity of stuff locust, crickets, meal worms and wax worms for a treat all dusted but latley have not acually seen him eat or any number twos.

Id get him checked out at vets then. Could be anything. Do yoy know what other one died of? x

the other one was female but she was ill when i got her under weight couldnt eat i tried to get fluids with a suringe but she died two days later but the person who had them before hadnt checked them for a few days thats why i took them off them.

Hiya,
I would get little un' checked to vets to be sure.

We have a male pictus and he went for about 5 weeks without eating and he shed each week while he did this, so he only ate his shed.
He was about 6 months old when this happened.
He is now 11 months old and is eating well etc.
