Ask away, there are a lot of tortoise people on here that are more than willing to help.

In short:

Tort table. or very well ventilated Viv. (take the top off).
right temps
proper UV
proper substrate

No iceburg lettuce

Staple spring greens

tomatoes and fruit as a treat

Look for bright eyes good appetite and active during the day
fairly firm poo with some white stuff too. (Urates).

Weigh them regularly and get a fecal done for parasites like worms.

Default General tort care

Just wondering if all this seems ok to the more experienced?!

Got a 2/3yr old Hermanns (female)
Shes fed on florette salad, dusted with calcium and repative supp. once, sometimes twice a day (if i give in to her stomping! ).

Water always in the tort table. Along with half aspen, half sand/soil, plenty of stones to climb over and around (extra cuttlefish in there too).

Has solar glo heat lamp (getting thermometer and hydrogemeter to check the stats). On for 3 hours in morning and 3 hours at night.

Bathed every 2/3 days in shallow warm water (with a lot of protesting!)and blotted dry with kitchen towel.
Does this sound ok to the regulars?

you are better off posting in the 'shelled' section of the forum, as not everyone comes onto the newbie section. You will get lots of advice there.
