H there would it be ok to mix cyprus mulch with orchid bark to use as a substrate in my viv for cresties. I am going slightly crazy reading up about substrates in various books as everyone has different ideas.
Also which is the best stuff to use in pots when using live plants. Some books say to use fertilizer but I thought that was bad for cresties. I would be grateful for any advice as I am a very confused newby!!! |

To be honest i use kitchen roll, that way there is absolutely no risk of impaction from eating substrate while they try to catch their crickets and it is so easy to clean out. Obviously it doesnt look as natural tho.
