Default help with dimmers etc

hi would this http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Image.../31/062331.jpg

BUT 100W bulb

will it be ok on a HabiStat Dimming Thermostat MAX 600W


as im not sure exactly what it would do
because i read somehwhere it reduced the wattage to decrease the tempreture of the bulb etc ?

any one help me

These are the bulbs that we now use and our beardies (all 16 of them) and shedding, eating and growing fantastically well!

That will be fine.

Matstat = heat mats
Pulse stat = non light emitting i.e. heat mats and ceramic bulbs
Dimmer stat = everything i.e. heat mats, ceramic bulbs and light/heat emitting bulbs

The 600w rating means that's the maximum you can plug into it.

You set the temperature you want on the thermostat and position the probe in an appropriate place (where it will get hot). Once that temperature is reached the stat will limit the amoutn of power to the bulb which dims it (like a household dimmer switch on the wall) which in turn reduces the heat produced. Also use in conjunction with a digital thermometer though to be sure the temperature you've set on the stat is accurate,
