leopard geckos

i have a adult female leopard gecko and i am getting a 5 month old female so would it be all right to put in with each other

youd probably be able to keep them together, keep the newbie in quarantine and when you put them together make sure they are both similar weights, and size, and at the first sign of fighting, remove them.

would say only after the new one has been in quarentine (I quarentine all new arrivals for at least 3 months and have them feacal checked) and only if they're the same size/weight .... putting a smaller leo in with a larger adult can lead to the smaller one being bullied/stressed and in a worse case scenario badly bitten.

i agree always quarentine newbies as its not worth the risk of putting a potentially ill leo with a perfectly healthy leo.

as said you also gotta worry about the little one being bullied. once you have quarentined the lil1 try getting a a rub or somthing that has not been used or if it has disinfect it and introduce both of the leos to each other because then they arent meeting on they territory try it for about n hour each day then gradually increase the time.

you can also trade there hides around so they both can get used to each others scent.
