Default Mealworms

I am a bit confused about feeding my baby beardies mealworms, the breeder I had them off told me they loved them but have read on here that they have hard shell type bodies and are not always a good idea to feed them to babies as they can be hard to digest. What do I do?

if you have read they have hard shells you could buy babies and wait till they shed-----------but to many are not good.

I tried mine with mini mealworms once when they were babies and they loved them but I stopped cos I didn't want to take the risk - they can't digest the chitlin shells, and apparently when they're little their digestive system has a kink in it which can get blocked with the chitlin and they become impacted. Nutritionally they're rubbish anyway, you'd be better off waiting until they're juveniles and feeding them morios (Zophobos Morio) rather than mealworms (Tenebrio Molitor) as they are better for them. Mine love morios!
