Hi guys would be glad for some confirmation that I'm doing the right thing by Basil. Abour a month ago he seemed to be losing his appetite - wasn't interested in his locusts at all and only the occasional mealie. I'm assuming that as he is about 2 years old and it's this time of year, that he's brumating - so I've turned the viv temps down (as it says in my book) low end 70 -80 high end 80-90 and set the timer to go off earlier/come on later that usual. He seems fine, skin looks a little 'looser' but his tail is still nice and fat and his pelvic bones aren't sticking out or anything and he seems fine in himself but just doesn't really want to eat and hasn't pooed in weeks. Does this sound ok - thanks

I'm presuming Bas is some kind of lizard, as you dont specify. If so, this post would be better in the lizard section as you would get more help there - not everyone comes on the newbie section
