[Animal Welfare Researcher]

Hi everyone, I am a BScH student at Writtle doing my dissertation-project on the public's knowledge and attitudes on animal welfare and their related legislation. I need at least 30 Pet/Companion Animal Owners, 30 Animal Breeders, 30 Zoo-staff and 30 farmers (pig, cattle, goat, poultry etc.) to fill in a questionnaire for the project;
- Your identity will be protected according to law (The Data Protection Act). This means that you name or address will not be asked for, nor is it needed. It will be completely anonymous and you may choose to withdraw at any given time during the research process if you wish.

- Only English people over the age of 18 may participate in this study I am afraid (though I will recommend other researchers to carry out similar research in a larger scale i.e. in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland and even within the European Union).
- Data collection/ Questionnaire responses will end 29th of December.
- The questionnaire will take about 5-10min to finish.

Your participation will be very much appreciated as it will contribute to a clearer perspective of parts of general public’s knowledge concerning animal welfare with special regards to the related legislations. The questionnaire will also answer if these groups of the general public find it easy to get information on animal welfare legislation in England.
