Default Is it good for Bearded Dragon young'un?

My lil beardy does not spend much time under the basking/UVA light but decides to climb above it via the plastic plants i have and sit up there most of her time with gob open, i know she is venting but she spends so much time up there. Basking spot is 107-110 so ideal for her but guess she likes it warmer as she getting as high as she can lol the viv is like nearly 3ft high just find it odd lol

is your beardie still doing this? it may be trying to escape the heat if its mouth is open. are you using a thermometer to check the temp? how long is the tank and what is the cool end temp?

temps are 110 in basking around 92-95 surrounding and cool end is 80-90 depending if heating is on but she knows where the cool areas are but she sleeps right up the top also seems to be her fav place :S

When she is at her basking spot how far away is the uv? If the uv is at the top of the tank then it is probably too far away to be of any benefit. They should be able to get within about 6 inches of it - slightly further if you have a reflector. It should be UVB - not UVA as you have said and at least 10%, most of them need changing every 6 months.
