Default Skinks

Hey, i am finally thinking of moving up from tarantula's and getting a reptile. I was more keen on a blue tongued skink, are they easy to keep and rear? I was told by someone to go for a juve or younger so it could get used to me etc.. does anyone on the forum who has kept these reptiles have any nuggets of info that they could share. Ive read all caresheets that all say different things hence why im on here.

Thanks
