Snake behaviour - rubbing/constricting muscles
Hey, i'm a relatively new owner in November with my boa and he is only 10 months old apparently. In the last couple of months he wraps himself around my wrist and moves the individual muscles like he is scratching/rubbing himself. It started when he was shedding first (very recently had a full shed without flaking) but still does it most times i handle him which is every couple of days or more often. I'm wondering what it is in case it is a health issue? However he eats like clockwork each week, has no visible signs of sickness, has only bitten once (when i fed him without a tool!) and is more than happy for me to handle him although i leave him alone when he is resistant or after feeding and when shedding. I''m so happy with how gentle he is to be honest. He is also partial to wrapping himself up in my hair and doing the same thing. Any ideas?
