diamond solitaire

as new 1950s genuine diamond solitaire engagement ring

id say it was a L/M size

very rare stunning hand cut diamond aprox 20/25pt with 4 smaller diamonds 2 on each shoulder

this ring has a really thick band id say a good 4mm thick and is solid 18ct gold and halmarked as such

open to offers

only selling as im getting married soon and cant really wear 2 engagement rings

Although if he take the mick dont pull it on me as i dont know what he's like after 8yrs of being away from him .

it was origionally a great aunts

i had it examined once before and was told it was a 1951 1952 cant remember which with hand cut diamonds, meaning they are top class with no faults as only perfect diamonds could be cut by hand as any fault would cause them to crack

its made by L and W and has a birmingam halmark

it has never been worn by myself or as far as i know my aunt (shes passed on so cant ask) it has no scratches or any signs of wear and even the halmarks are deep and crisp

if anyone wants to do some research on it the halmarks are as follows

L and W then a crown symbol then 18 then an anchor i think and the last one looks like an L in italics

Your best bet with this then is to send a photo ( good one ) to Christies Auctioneers and ask then to value the ring so you dont / cant get ripped off with it.

As the last thing you want to do is sell it for FAR LESS than its worth

i may have a diamond cluster ring which ive never worn for sale too

this was bought for me by an ex but now im getting married theres no way ill ever wear it

ill get some piccys up in a bit for everyone

I have spoken to Kelly before so asking who the ring used to belong to was a pleasantry and nothing to do with the sale.

Kelly: I think as with the phone you would be best to post up a guide price as I along with others have no idea of the value of such things or what you would accept as an offer to purchase!!
