looong shot aluminium square tube?

im going to make a rack type thingy and i would like to try aluminium this time, the 25mm square aluminium tubes specifically, dont suppose anyone has a bunch laying around for sale? i can buy it online but its quite expensive so thought id try here first.

i have some at work !! what prices have you been given? also why box section why not just 2 inch angle ?

hi, lowest i can find is £3.87 for 2500mm of 25mmx25mmx1.6mm, re angle/tube, tube is easier to make a frame that can be flat packed with those easy fix blocks, not sure if u seen them? angle iron is a rivet or weld job neither of which particuarly good at.

Hi try the big B&Q warehouse they have some and also black plastic corners and t peices also black stop ends it has to be the big B&Q warehouse as the smaller places dont stock it. I Think they do the alloy box section also. I made some alloy frames up for the budgie flights they are great.

2500 mm = 8ft ish ? £3.87 isnt a bad price after postage i couldnt do it that cheap
