Hiya your D60 is a Nikon does the macro lens your selling fit your camera?
if so its a nikon fitting...hope this helps you huni

i have a D60 you will be looking for a motorised lens unfortunately the drawback to the d60 is the lenses need the motor as it is not on the camera body so most lenses will not autofocus you have to buy hsm or motorised lenses for the autofocus function to work

No it doesn't fit my D60, but it may fit another nikon that isn't in the same family.

I know about the motors, this is why Nikkor lenses cost so much more, because they all have a motor in the lenses for use with the D60.

tamron and sigma are also doing motorised lenses, now
and my intention was only to help! amd my comments on the motorised lenses was a grumble on my behalf, not a lesson in sucking eggs

I didn't mean to come out harsh, just literally meant "I Know " thats why i have to pay so fooking much for my lenses honestly didn't mean to come off abrasive, sorry.

nikon lenses (this includes tamron and sigma nikon lenses) fit in the camera by attaching from the right and clicking to the left, all other slr makes are the opposite to this so NO....it won't fit another nikon family because theyre all the same, the right slotting to left, you dont necessarily have to have a motorised lense (the lense will say "HSM" on the box, that means its suitable for the d40/d60 etc) you will be able to use other nikon lenses and older lenses from 35mm slrs (some may need an adaptor) but they will only work in manual.....at my place and in my experiance there isnt any difference in price really anymore with purchasing a lense that has a hsm built in as opposed to one that isnt a hsm lense.....but make sure youre not looking at the optical stabalized lenses as they will chuck another 200 quid on the price tag, nikon lenses (the brand) tend to be at least three times the sigma price, id reccomend the sigma 70-300 zoom/macro in one. Its a great lense, i keep in on my D60 most of the time and it does one heck of a job with the tortoise photos, i got mine for 150 staff price around 2year ago and thats how much the standard rrp is now for a customer. hope this helps...anymore questions welcome, well... i sell cameras for a living currently xxx
