i havent really found any decent falconry forums! its annoying...not many 'birdy' people are good with the net lol...
and as for weights it varies from bird to bird....one of my birds flies at 11oz's give or take the half oz...then my sisters bfs bird flys at 9ozs!

and how can u keep lions etc but not be able to keep birds or prey???? u lost me lol

prolly cos he is in the states and they require licences and do an apprenticeship if i,m mot mistaken in most states and can only fly a red tail hawk.

oh right didnt no he was from the states. there are a lot of falconry people out in the states tho...maybe its different licensce laws...jamima parry jones has recently moved out there with most of her collection which includes all sorts!!

I would love to keep one of these as Iv always grown up with a regular visit from a wandering male in my garden a few weeks a year.
How much does a baby sell for?

Very cheap unfortunately, around £50 upwards.

My partner has kept little owls before, but no actual plans untill we sort out our own home, never mind an owls

Yeh that's it, and all the breeders out there who just want to make a quick buck! You'll have to update us with a thread when you do get an owl
