It's hard work, I won't lie!

Been doing it a long time now though. But falls get worse the older you get

But, i like to break my own horses. At least you know exactly what's been done with them. I have my BHSAI, but always make sure I'm getting regular lessons with the young horses to make sure I'm doing everything as well as I can!

Heres a pic of my OH's pony Swallow. He's 13.2hh and 12 years old, she bought him as a first pony and taught him to jump herself (wasnt broken in properly). After one year of her riding and him jumping they got 2nd in the scottish unaff champs of SJ! He's for sale btw..

Sorry first pics are bad quality, theyr pics of pics lol..

Lovely horses!

I have had horses all my life, i have two now though. Charlie is my 14.2 connemara, my ex-eventing pony. He also did Senior BSJA up to Foxhunters and Members Cup (a HUGE achievement for a little pony, he is a star!!) and after doing so well for me, he has a well earned home for life here with me, he deserves it 100%. He is 16 years old now, i've had him nearly 13 years.

Here he is back in his youth competing on a PC team at Gatcombe Horse Trials!

And a bit more up to date, he enjoys a more sedate life now!

But we do still have a go at jumping!! This was about a year ago at the local farms showjumping competition! I happened to notice the sign as we were out on a hack so went to investigate and ended up winning the 3'6 Derby class!!

And here is my newest project. This is Una, she's a dutch bred, imported friesian standing about 16.1 now. She is rising 4, just been very lightly started under saddle, is off to stud in the spring then will be brought back into work when she has weaned her foal (which will be my future jumping star - i hope!!lol) if all goes to plan, fingers crossed!!

I am very fortunate that she has a temperment to match, you wouldnt get many youngsters that are so relaxed and chilled out as her, i am very, very lucky!!

Very big jumps for a little pony!
Wat a little star!
I miss ponies. Had an amazing JA 148 pony, and it's taken nearly ten yrs of horses to get my jumping career sort of back on track!
Ponies are so uncomplicated (and less expensive!) in comparison!
