Default horse thread

Thought i'd start this for us horse lovers to share pics in one place!
I'll start with my latest addition, Clonlara Clover. He's got a really promising jump and represents the most money i've ever spent on a horse! And what does he do? Cuts his leg in the stable and has been on box rest the past two months....

He's far too big for me really

This is a little min coloured foal i bred earlier in yr, just about 2 hrs after he was born! Hopefully he should make an eventer - he has the breeding behind it anyway!

I'll post more when i get a chance - and lookin forward to seein some other people's horsies

They're both stunning, the foal is so cute! What breeds are they?

thanks!
The first guy is traditional irish showjumper lines - clover hill and king of diamonds. irish sport horses are usually a mixture of thoroughbred and irish draught.
The mare is a thoroughbred, and the foal's by a coloured stallion (who's 7/8 thoroughbred) - so the foal's pretty much a thoroughbred too. I'm hopin he'll make a nice eventer - but we're on bad terms at mo - he tried to kick me to death today

It's amazing how fast they grow you planning to break him yourself?

There are loads of horse owners on this forum, thought there'd be loads of pics up by now, where are they all?

Quite a few posted in that thread. Could be why they haven't posted here.
