Yes he is 16 he hatched out in april 1993 he is english bred I know he does not have a ring on his leg this had to be removed by the vet when he was young as he got ring foot his caught in a toy I had bought for him and it sweeled up so it had to go or he would/could have lost his foot completely and he was too old to have another fitted so I informed the parrot society and have the ring with its stamps plus the paperwork onfile for safe keeps.

Always nice to see somebody who's stuck with a bird for so long, as opposed to getting rid when they get to the terrible twos. He gorgeous.

Oh a birdy thread !

Meet 'Bird' formerly known as Barney.
3rd possibly 4th hand ? Timneh Grey, lived in a pub at some point I think.
Anyhow came to me very bald, very bored and rather nuts.
About 3 years on now and sometimes he's mummys cuddly lil grey chicken sometimes he's an evil booger.
I love him to bits but most people don't !

"Does he Bite ? - OUCH ! "

He only bites stupid people

Me evil bird

Stealing little mans toys....lol

On his fave long-suffering perch... *sigh*

What the *** are all these furry things in here ?
(he is not too impressed with hamsters in balls either...lol )

Being a dog...

Got a cockatiel too - came as a package with free evil bird -
But Mr.cheep is very old and a bit senile and rather anti-camera !

Great to see another Timneh people always seem to overlook them in favour for the congos, yes too many birds are given up parrots are a life commitment and if you cant give that to them then you need not apply. I would never give up on mine no matter how hard it gets or how obnoixious he tries to be I have had a fair share of nasty nips from him but 99% of the time he is a good lad and a great pal. Dont know about your birds but ours has a huge vocab with a new found fondness of the number 4 and strong attempts at calling out from 1 -10, regular renditions of baa baa black sheep and half a pound of tuppeny rice, always a hello or good bye as you enter or leave the room, a good morning when you take the cover off his cage and a nite nite when it goes on.... I really could be here all night typign out everything he comes out with.

my grey does half a pound of tupenny rice and also counts one to five missing out religously the number 3.I like the running commentry from his past life.It starts "gooood boy,oi,ouch, now get up on your perch you bad bird" and then finishes with manic laughing.Every bird I've had has done Mcdonalds ,I'm loving it tune.
