Our precious girl appears to have bi-lateral ligament damage.....they think partial tears, but need more tests. They have also been checking her reflexes in her back and legs for nerve damage, these are ok, she also has mild hip dysplasia which has been aggrevated by her knees playing up. All this through chasing puppy kyle and twisting and turning. it was just one leg, but a few days later the other knee went as she is such a big girl....
We are now awaiting more news from the vet.....I have even rung up the bionic vet man, Noel Fitzpatrick........

Our precious girl harley is now home with her broken leg and yellow bandage.....She is very bright and on her feet assisted and ate her big steak Kim left for her.....she hasnt eaten since last Saturday bless her....
Sasha and Kyle went mental when they heard her home as they were locked away whilst the nurses brought her in and we put her on her bed.....Harley soon made it clear to sasha and kyle who is top dog and dont touch me! lol.....she only chatted at them and showed a little tooth! lol........they know their place
Will let you know how she goes with this......all being well with this leg, poor harley has to have the other leg done between 6wks+ and do it all again.....we will have our baby back in 1 piece and walking December+.....cant wait, she loves to go out......

I bet you're glad to have her home - what have they actually done with the leg and will she have to have the same on the other knee?

She has torn cruciates in both back legs.....they have to break her leg and reset it to stop the pressure of the leg moving forward....she hasnt torn the cartilage so that is a god send....well in first leg anyway....so she has a broken leg basically and has metal plates in to hold it in position for life.....same with the other leg.....first bill is now £3500 and insurance only is up to £4000.....so have an agreement with my great vets with the rest....as 1 leg is around £2500 to do....but Harley has been at the vets for a week and had lots of things done and medication and boarding.....
Thank you for asking about her and will post a pic tomorrow of her with her bloomers cut off! (she has very thick fur!) and her yellow bandage....she seems to be happyish to be home.....just wants her mum now.....Kim....she is in Hamm reluctantly........
