beacuse (i paid £90) that included everythign, fleaing, worming, all the injections. where as a free kittern has had none of the above, meanign you woudl have to pay for the vets.

Lots of people trying to sell "moggie" kittens, will hike the price up if they are selling "out of kitten season", or if the cat is (what they think) is an unusual or uncommon colour, or longhaired.
99% of the time, they are not flead/wormed or had any jabs (or even been checked over by a vet). They are just trying to make a fast buck.
Freekygeeky, you were lucky!
One of my parents cats came from a disgusting house....really unbelievably filthy....honest! I thought places like that only existed on the telly! The 3 kittens were eating their dinner out of the litter tray, they were riddled with fleas (we were told the kitten was 8 weeks old, but I knew from seeing him that he was no more than 5 weeks. I wanted to take the lot, but she said they were sold. She wanted £80, but she took £30. They were supposed to be flead and wormed, but no way were they! She was in a filthy dressing gown (with allsorts of nameless stains up the back of it) and this was 3pm. We honestly think she was an alcoholic, just trying to make some money for booze. It's making me feel ill just typing this!....and her flea-ridden mutt peed up my leg while we were there!
When we got home, I combed over 100 fleas off him. He only weighed half of what he should.

I sold my kittens for £100 because...............

they were vet checked 3 x = £20 each check
flea and wormed £10 each kitten
1st vaccination given £17 each
and microchipped if requested £5 each

starter kit £6 each
food £1.50 each

so do you think me selling them at £100 was still too much ????????

o that's terrible, can't you report them or something? good on you for getting at least one little kitten out of there.

but we've only ever been given cats too. If I were to go and get one I'd go to a kennels/home rather than a private seller, but that's just my preference.

We did. She was supposed to be working for a cat rescue place. Don't know if she's still doing it.

It's a shame more people don't re-home rescue cats. Just because they're not at the cute furball stage it doesn't mean they should be excused from having a loving home.

i hate it when people assume that because you buy a kitten it dosnt mean you dont ''do'' rescue cats..

i have had cats alll my life, ALL were rescues, bar this little kittern we got in august,

thats a total 5 cats , in my life time, and im only 19.
