Depends on the breed Gina. I think we've decided that there could be some oriental behind Zingi, so if it's Zingi you're talking about, then he should have a long back. Orientals, Siamese, Maine Coons, foreign type cats like Abys all have longer backs than breeds like British.

thankyou! its just i thought maybe it was a kitten thing... now lol makes me laugh... wehn he sits up... his back is so long, but he has short legs that he sits all funny, and it really cant be good for his back...
also when he lays down, he looks like he is folded is half, he doesnt sit or lay down or curl up like most cats... next time he does it ill take some pics...

This is my aby in a similar pose. Now Abys are of foreign type and so should be lithe and athletic which means a longer leaner body, but not as long as you would look for in a Siamese or Oriental.

I don't think he looks any shorter than Zingi - do you?
