Default Today I discovered

That 'MAry' has chicks. Mary is my female turkey. She has been sat sitting on a clutch of eggs for weeks now. Since I lost Joeseph the male during a thunderstorm ages ago, I just assumed that none of the eggs was fertile as he died about 2 weeks before she went broody. He must have left behind some super sperms cos every one hatched and I have about 8 turkey chicks of various colours. Females shall be kept for future breeding, males will become Xmas dinner
and while I was watching them, I found that one of my Welsummer bantams has hatched off a lod of chicks. They are from my prize winning strain of birds.
Brilliant. Now I can get some more pretty rosettes to hang up.

Will see about getting some pics in the next few days if the thunder and rain holds off and if I get a break from tiling, plastering and artexing the front room.

Well if the little orange chap had looked into my car, swinging from the rear view mirror he would have noticed these which should have warned him!

I got them from Merkin land. Got a set for my friend Samantha too. They are supposed to be keyrings but I adapted them for the car. They come in plain naked pink plastic and with my hot melt glue gun and the combings from Ursa's brush, I made them more realistic.

Cool!

I can't believe I had to explain merkins to my (filthy minded!) work colleagues (some innocence still retained!). Conversation provoked by me killing myself laughing after vaccinating a kitten "Murrkin".
