What feed?

Thinking of breeding a few rats, already have multies and mice. Just wondering what you breeders feed them on, can I buy in bulk? Is there a feed that would suit all? or just rats and multies. Thanks Mandy

you can feed mice, rats and multis the same, with the amount i have around 100 of each i buy bulk its a rat and mice cube that has been specially to cater for the nutrion that they need it costs £7.50 ish for a 15KG bag and is made by argo foods sheffield.

i used to mix my own (i used the same mix as Nerys) if i remeber correctly its been a while since i made it i used

15KG of pelletless rabbit food
15KG of flaked maize
15KG of mixed grains
15KG of flaked peas
15KG of working dog food
and two large sacks of the cheap pasta from asda (was £1 a bag when i used to use it)

think that was everything... all my rats also get fresh veg and chicken carcases when i have chicken
