Default Lavender mixed in with mice bedding - possible??

I need to make my rodent room smell fresh (house is going on the market) Now I know you can get that lemon/lavender bedding but it's a tad pricey when you need alot.

What about just mixing fresh lavender from the garden in with their bedding? It's natural, can't think of any problems that could occur from that - thoughts please

I put vanilla essence in their water (not vanilla flavouring) a few drops in a mouse bottle works fine - takes about 3 weeks to work through - but really does work!

couldn't make it work for rats though

Yeah already thought about putting vanilla in, which shall pick up next time shopping, was just thinking a more instant freshness (to go along with the actual cleaning)

TBH I don't notice it that much anymore but I know outsiders do!!

Potpouri is always a good one if it just room freshness/smell you are looking for.

A keeper l used to know used it all the time, and just refreshed it with oils.

I knew she kept exotics for years outside, but never knew she kept a mousery in one of her back rooms in the house, because all l ever smelt was the pot pouri! lol

They range from soft smelling to strong smelling.

R

ps: she did not mix it with the bedding tho, suddenly looked at thread title and thought had better add that in! It was in bowls.

Bit nervy about air freshners because the rodent room, is a room within the rep room, which is why I'm thinking au naturel lol

Ooh you think that works? Good because I do actually bake bread everyday

Right so, pot pourri and vanilla and should smell super sweet in there.

Thanks guys
