I dont know nowt about them really, I researched into other BOP but not really owls, but common sense tells me they are gonna need an outside aviary with enough room to fly around.

Owls are lazy bastards that will only fly for food. We used to keep a Barn owl in the house, it was extremely amusing watching him chase the dogs and systematically fling ornaments off shelves, not so amusing cleaning owl poop off the telly and finding bits of chicks that he'd hidden under the sofa and on top of units "for later"
They are better off outdoors, the barn owl was in a 4x6x7 foot and the Eagle Owl in a 15x 7x7 foot aviary. Be warned they stink in the summer unless you are rigorous with the cleaning, 'cos they can crap for Africa!
You are better getting a chick and getting it to imprint on you, meaning it sees you as its mother and you effectively don't allow it to grow up, i.e you remain the food provider. If you get a male, you could well find it imprints on a female in the house and takes a dislike to you at about 18 months old. They are relatively easy to train

They do sound pretty awesome but I bet there is still a fair amount to know.

I know Teet Owls are pretty popular in the UK

I would say sure you can keep one as long as the requirments a given. A very large avairy outside, also dont forget any jabs/injections it will need, birdflu and other dieseases can be transfered very quickly!
