Default Barn Owls

Does anyone on here keep CB Barn Owls? I am interested in owning one but there seems to be little info on keeping them and their requirments. Can anyone help?

What size of enclosure do they require, particulary flight area. Am I right in thinking that they are solitary birds or do they do better with company. Do you know of any reputable breeders within the North West? Finally can you recommend any good sites so I can do more research.

As i have said several times before to other members.
Before you get a bird go on a course and learn as much as you can.
As for requirements, would be flying the bird or keeping it in an avairy.

Trying to research and doing ones homework is the key to any pet keeping, but finding such sources is proving difficult lol.

I would like to keep the owl in an avary, but would love to learn the skills of flying them also. Obviously this isn't something that can be done over night and I don't intend to jump in feet first either. Can you sugest any good sites to aquire the information I need. I have just joined the above mentioned forum also.

Also try looking here: http://www.barnowltrust.org/
There is great info and useful leaflets in PDF form (I know it's good cos I wrote a load of it). See if you can spot the RFUK member erecting outdoor nestboxes in the picture galleries.
