i think its a tom cat thing, the boys i had to rehome earlier this year were the same, but i had to rehome them as they were too boisterous for the girls and it came to where the girls were so scared they were always hidden, cowering somewhere, they have all come back out of their shells now though so it was good for all of them, as the boys are doing great living on a farm together getting rid of all the rats and mice

I wouldn't mind if it was just when we were playing with him but 6.00am in the morning when I'm a sleep in bed he starts biting my toes I'm not to happy. I'm laughing as I'm typing this cause it sounds amusing. It really seems like sometimes he's stalking us lol. i just hope he grows out of it.

It's often because they've been taken away from their mothers at too young an age. Just because they are weaned at 6/8 weeks doesn't mean that they should be taken away from their mothers at that age. They need to be with their mothers to 'learn' to be cats and only their mum and siblings can teach them that because if they are taken away at too young an age they become humanised.
For instance in fun play all kittens bite - if you watch them play with their mother (and each other) they pounce and they bite. If the mother cuffs them or their siblings squeal, they learn that they are biting too hard and that they must not bite so hard. So through play with each other they learn how to "mouth" rather than bite. If they aren't with their mother that's something they never learn and so they bite!

My sisters cat Molly hates my nephew...Shes fine with the other children in the family but if he goes anywhere near her she'll attack him...Does the cat associate you with giving it some medicine or doing something she didnt particularly enjoy?(im not suggesting youre being mean here...just the responsible stuff that cat owners have to do for the good of the cat!!) ~because as it turns out My nephew used to tease Moll as a kitten relentlessly and shes obviously very unforgivig!!.
Dont over fuss her, cats like to come to you rather than be stroked when we feel like it..Its tempting to overfuss a kitten coz theyre uber cute!!!~her biting might just be her way of saying 'give me some space!!'Good luck!!

I have to agree about the mother thing... Louis, who was dumped outside my place of work with his brother and sister at approximately 5 weeks of age, bites very hard during play. He doesn't know any better. He doesn't do the normal slowly go in to g et the blanket monster (for example), he just goes straight for the kill.

Is he on his own? When we had our first cat, I found that he was quite nippy, but he was only really what he would be doing if he was with his siblings. The two we got together, well they played together so it wasn't the same at all, just a thought.

We had 2 like that and being as we had their mums (we did CPL work too) and had been born with us and all teh other kittens where great. But one litter we had 3 whites and 2 torties. 2 white toms, 1 white she and 2 tortie shes.
One white Tom, Mr Moon, was a devil and I mean devil. From the moment he opened his eyes he wanted to kill. everything! He would fly out from behind stuff while you were just sat watching tv, randomly attack people in the room and then go back to his mum and siblings and curl up and go to sleep. Every waking hour was spent chasing us, leaping on us, 'fffttt ffffttt fffffffttt' He was bonkers. Another was our maine coon cross Singapora. Kristian was huge. Longhaired Chocolate killing machine. He would attack dogs on sight and all the local latch key dogs had been on the recieving end of him and when saw him they run for their lives with Kris hot on their heels. He jumped off the stairs once onto my head, sinking his teeth into my scalp while clawing and raking my back and face. Why? Cause I'd got up in the night to go to the loo and had the nerve to walk down the landing past the stairs to the attic where he was sleeping. He also Killed a neighbours Yorkie and Chihuahua. which was when we found out he was killing anything upto his size! he would already hunt wild rabbits and always had a pile of rats at the bottom of the stairs when he went off down the canal lol So we got a £1600 cattery and decided the world would be safer if we kept him inside. His Singapura mother 'Liea' was a tiny cat, but again, she would kill rats for fun. And leave them piled up behind the cat flap as she would just poke her head in, drop it and go find another.
