Unhappy skinny siamese..what should i do!!

hi i have two very lovely champion bred siamese brothers, they were from the same litter and they are both house cats ,they get the same care lots of brushing and warm areas to sleep and love and cuddles and i feed them royal canin siamese biscits compleat food as i know its better for there teeth and digestive tract than the sqishy fake meat stuff from packets which i hate! , the biggest one called magic is a seal point and is big and chunky and bouncy always playing and is a great weigh 7.4 pounds with good teeth and muscle structure and the other one called mojo the blue point is half his weigh about 4.5 pounds and is tiny and is very skinny and he jut likes to sit on my lap all the time..doesnt play that oftern and his teeth arnt that good they look a bit plaquey and a bit red in the gums,he does eat his bickys and i give him cat milk ect ect and chicken breast but he just doesnt put weight on very well, they both get the same amount of food and care and the little one wasnt the runt of the litter he was the inbetweeny...is there anything i can do to put weight on my little mojo like a weight gaining formular for cats as he is so tiny everyone thinks hes a kitten but they are both 8 months old!! worried.

8 months IS a kitten

You say that his overall condition is poorly, so I would suggest taking him to the vets.

Has he had a check up with the vets recently?

If not I would take him along so they can have a look at his teeth (possbible infection?) Or there could be something else going on.
When were they wormed last?

I would have him to the vets(Take both so the vet can compare them). Are they Indoor cats or do they roam?

he deffo sounds as tho he needs to see the vet hun, he might have a dental problem, also you realy cant expect them both to well on the same food his digestive system might be a tad more sensetive then the other boys , my three cats all eat different things .... his behaviour isnt really typical of siamese, i had one years ago and she never sat still for more than an hour at a time she was a nightmare. And compared to your oter cat he,s behaving out of character for the breed......at 8 months he really shouldnt have plaque on his teeth ide take him to the vets for a dental check , bless him i bet they are gorgeous mine was so funny more like a hyperactive dog than a cat.lol.

From what I remember my friend, who bred orientals and siamese for years, told me the blues aren't as strong as the selpoints.
They are a recessive so they often dont' get as big and are just 'that bit more delicate' I think she used to say.

We once had to 'toast' a litter of lilac point kittens that the Queen had on the kitchen floor prematurely. I managed to save 3 out of the 5 kittens so I think they were very lucky. Lilacs are recessive as well so often are a good bit smaller than their more robust darker pointed siblings.

As I say I'v enever personally bred siamese so I'm only going on memory.

I also had a havanna, another oreintal breed, that had cardiomyopathy, he was a very tiny kitten and only lived to 4 months old. He was smaller than a 6 week old kitten when he died. He came to me to be spoilt as the breeder and vet knew he hadnt' long to live. I named him Mogwai because he never did grow into his ears!!!!!!!

I used to breed and show Siamese had 8 at one time(3 breeding queens and 5 neutered pets). They are never quiet, especially kittens, they are so active and playful so he really needs a check up. The mouth thing isnt right in such a young cat either. I never found other colour points to be any different to Seals except in the voice, Lilacs being the quietest. I used to breed Seal,Chocolate, Lilac and Blue. Keep us updated.

Question

hi guys,
they have both been wormed recently at the vets and the bigger one called magic is due to be neuterd soon as hes showing the signs of being ready(shall we say).
the breeder is a good one and the mother of the kittens was again very small and slender as alot of the breeders cats were like and she looks like mojo my blue boy, whiles the dad was a big lovely seal boy and looks like my seal point magic, the little one mojo and has a louder meow than his brother magic and is also quite vocal and they both follow me everywhere!! the big one is frindly but also a silly boy and gallops all over the place and plays fetch with me even in the middle of the night, while mojo the lttle one is very loving and wants to be with me where ever i am....including when i go to the bathroom or have a shower!!..... ahem!!!,
i wouldnt say he was lethalgic just very little and he would rather be on my lap than being beaten up with play by his bro and again as i said about his teeth they arnt like his bros all lovely and shiney they are alittle bit red round the gums and there is plaque on them a little bit. i do feed them salmon and chicken breast sometimes so they arnt just getting the hard foods, and the food i choose is for siamese especialy and also one for indoor cats they also get cat grass which they love..as well as tuna and the occasional peice of smoked salmon..is they meow loud enough!! (they arnt alowd outside without a lead so are house cats )
i have had siamese before these but never one so small he just loses weigh so easily i just wanted something to help put it back on...but yes i will be taking him to the vet..infact i have booked a check up for them next week.
