i think its cruel to ear trim

tail docking for work purposes is ok with me but for looks its cruel.

Theres no need for either! Ear cropping looks disgusting. My rottie is docked (before ban as a puppy) it took me quite a few weeks to adjust to me bitch having a tail and shut it in the door a few times.

Why would you ask both are illegal in this country now.

If its done in a painless enviroment by qualified vets then I dont really see how its different to other operations, although I personally wouldnt have it done myself even if it was legal because im not a big one for unnessesary cosmetic procedures on animals, but I dont know much about it hence the question at the start

Tails are used for communication between themselves from a distance. Lack of tail removes this ability.

Ear posting also has no detrimental effects however whilst it is being done the ears are often stuffed with a tampon and then bandaging which is left in place for 3 months. Thats a long time to have imparieed hearing.

I think it's sad taking a dog's tail, because it is a main communication tool to other dogs, so the dog won't be able to speak all of the only language it knows.

And ear docking looks ridiculous!
