Default Kittens anyone?

Hi there.
Looking for a lovely little kitten to bring my house some much needed charm, and to give me some hugs and company.

I can't stress enough that this is not a xmas impulse buy! I've wanted one for a while

I'm based in Dundee and do not drive, but can travel a bit if needed

Thats fine by me. I'm in London until the 8th, so will be looking to buy one then

I'll definately try rescue centres as thats also where my mum got her wee dog from. It's horrible that people would just leave unwanted animals isn't it?!

Unfortunatly everywhere is overflowing with unwanted animals atm : (

All pedigree cat breeds also run rescue schemes and may have cats looking for homes, if there is a particular pedigree cat you are drawn to.

So you could also contact some of the Scottish Cat Clubs to see if they have any cats needing homes.

Fantastic. I'm not particularly fussy about breed really. Are there any clubs in particular that you can suggest?

Gina - The Maine Coon Cat Club is the original cat club in Britain for the Coon, there are more now, but this was the first and they run their own rescue scheme. Not sure about Bengals, but seriously if you are thinking of taking on a Bengal rescue, make sure you know why the cat is in the rescue in the first place. They aren't an easy cat to keep!

madzombie guy - if you were thinking of getting a pedigree rescue, then I would suggest you think about what you want in a cat. The thing about pedigree cats is that, because their breeding is 'true' and not mixed, they have certain characteristics and temperaments that make one breed very different from another, so you need to decide what you are looking for in a cat. For instance, some people adore Siamese because they are very demanding and love people, rather like dogs, and some people hate them, because of that.
