Default there here me new ferrets

there here and am sure there over weight but the guy says they put on extra weight over winter is this true or is he telling porkies

Overweight*



Ferrets aren't prone to gain weight over winter in particular. Depends on if you have them outside a lot, as some people will provide a little extra bedding and food when it's a little chilly.

Anyway you should post some pictures of your awesome ferrets. Have you weighed them?

Not sure on that front hun, maybe get some piccys up for the ferret experts to have a nosey over, there are a few ferret fans lurking so i'm sure they'll help if/when they see this. Congrats on the new additions though

Outdoor ferrets "do" put on winter weight and a nice thick winter coat too. Indoor ones might do too but not always. They also put on loads of weight the first winter after they are born, especially hobs. Also un-neutered hobs are stockier than neutered ones.
