Default bullmastiff

i've been out walking my bullmastiff pup and the amount of people that have came up to me saying "oh dont they look so much better with tails" only for me to have to correct them that he is not a boxer pup but a bullmastiff, think i might have to put a sign on his back so i dont need to explain all the time maybe its just me but does he look like a boxer

yeah he's very cute went to obedience training last night with him and at the end of it he had a shot with there obedience display team, i was so proud of how well he done, couldn't have asked fo him to do it any better
i also get the same, everyone is happy to come and see him when they think he's a boxer, as soon as i say he's a bullmastiff there very stand offish, yet he's the softest dog and lives with 5 papillons and is very careful when he is around them

Default Pup..

He is a stunner!! What a handsome boy. Not much like a boxer though. Its funny, the reaction people have to certain breeds. We have a 21 month old Rottie bitch. With the waggiest tail. So many people stop and ask if she is a Lab ( with Rottie markings!?! ) but as soon as we proudly say Rottie its like you've created the worst smell known to man. Their faces change and they move away as soon as they can! It just shows how little people know about dogs and how much they believe all the tosh in the papers..

your maybe right there

he's about 4 stone in weight just now and 19 weeks old so think he will be a heavy boy when he's older, he still loves his cuddles but doesn't realise he doesn't quite fit on my knee as well as he used too.

He doesn't look like a boxer to me. Mind you, whenever people see my Kate (Tibetan spaniel) they say "ohhhh a pekingese".
My Ursa is a Newfoundland cross Rottie but he looks more Newf'. When people ask about him I always say he is a Newfie cross. Then usually once they are fussing him and he is going all daft over them, they ask what he is crossed with and I tell them.
Actually most are fine with it although I have had one or two suddenly snatch their hands away from him, much to his dismay.
